SilentSpend is built on a foundation of privacy and discretion. This policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share your information.

We collect only what's necessary to operate the platform. We don't sell your data. We don't share signals attribution publicly. Access stays limited.

1. Information We Collect

When you request access or create an account, we collect your email address, name, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe). We may also collect company affiliation if you provide it during signup.

We automatically collect data about how you interact with the platform: signals viewed, searches performed, companies followed, session duration, and device information. This helps us improve signal relevance and platform performance.

When you contact support or respond to our emails, we retain that correspondence to provide better service and resolve issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service delivery: Provide access to signals, search, and platform features based on your membership tier
  • Personalization: Tailor signal delivery based on companies you follow and past engagement patterns
  • Security: Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain platform integrity
  • Communication: Send service updates, signal notifications, and respond to your requests
  • Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance signal quality and platform performance

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

We use trusted third-party services: Stripe for payment processing, AWS for infrastructure, Resend for transactional emails. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality agreements.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data: encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, regular security audits, and restricted internal access.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage data and signal interaction history are retained for 24 months to improve service quality.

Upon account closure, we delete your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or security purposes.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authenticate your account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate platform usage. These analytics do not track individuals and do not use cookies.

8. International Data Transfers

SilentSpend operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States and European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

SilentSpend is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect.

Continued use of SilentSpend after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
